My name is Robert Floyd, and I will be leading you through the journey to improving your golf game.
What we do to improve your golf game!
I have a B.A. in Physical Education with an emphasis in Athletic Training from San Diego State University.
I am a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine
I also am certified as a Golf Fitness Specialist from the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
* We improve your golf game by training the body to consistently repeat the same motion and stay on balance throughout the entire golf swing.
* We improve the distance of your drives by increasing flexibility, strength, and power (strength plus speed)
*We decrease the risk of injury
The workouts will include training in flexibility, core and balance, stabilization endurance, strength endurance, and power. This training will improve flexibility in your swing, help maintain stability throughout a round of golf, improve golf swing mechanics, increase drive distance, and minimize the risk of overuse injuries.
If there are any muscular imbalances, or altered movement patterns, I will prescribe exercises that correct the muscular imbalances that may impair golf swing mechanics and lead to injury.
1. We will start by doing a physical assessment that will include checking posture, and movement assessments to identify any muscular imbalances or altered movement patterns.
2. We will go to the driving range and use a launch monitor to get your club head speed, ball speed, and driving distance. We will record the baseline marks and check for improvements every three months.
3. If there are any posture or movement issues that need to be corrected, exercises will be prescribed to help correct the problems. These exercises will be done in conjunction with the regular workout plan.
4. A monthly workout plan will be designed. At first, the workouts will be focusing on flexibility, core and balance training, along with light strength endurance training. The intensity will gradually be increased and prepare the body for the power training. Workouts may begin at a higher intensity for individuals who workout regularly.
5. Your golf game will improve beyond your expectations!
As with all exercise programs, when using our exercise videos, you need to use common sense. To reduce and avoid injury, you will want to check with your doctor before beginning any fitness program. By performing any fitness exercises, you are performing them at your own risk. Floyd’s Golf Fitness will not be responsible or liable for any injury or harm you sustain as a result of our fitness program, online fitness videos, or information shared on our website, this includes emails, videos, and text. Thank you for your understanding.

We then do a posture assessment. Here I am doing a posture assessment on my client.
We continue with a short movement assessment to determine if there is a movement fault or muscular imbalance. This is a shoulder impingement test.
We then develop a workout plan. The workouts include flexibility, core and balance, strength, endurance, and power. My client working quadricep flexibility with a roller.
We use a launch monitor to get a drive distance baseline, then do follow ups every three months.
